Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar
Habyt has already released a brand-new accomodation space at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the front runner spot for the operator’s Habyt Flex approach, which offers a strategic expanding of the business’s product offerings past extensive co-living.
Locals of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy infinite and free access to the property’s health and well-being features, such as the performance fitness center, cold plunge, infrared saunas, hot tubs and foot bathrooms.
In August, Habyt Asia Pacific chief executive officer Jonathan Wong signalled that the business was planning to add more short living options to its local lineup. The first real estates under the Habyt Flex concept are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both started in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen Residence by Habyt.
Wong says Habyt Kada at Maxwell presents the company’s dedication to redefining versatile living in Singapore and marks its change towards the next phase of growth for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room prices at Kada at Maxwell will start at $180 per day.
Kada at Maxwell will likely provide a variety of openings, involving en suite studios and two- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully set up kitchen space. Guests can book spaces on a nightly or every week basis, with a 12-month choice also readily available.
“By mixing modern-day conveniences with the timeless beauty of a heritage building, we’re offering guests a special lifestyle journey that surpasses conventional holiday accommodation,” adds Wong.
The flexible space lies inside a maintained 1920s colonial building. The three-storey structure, created by the architectural business Swan & Maclaren, was among the very first modernist structures in Singapore. It was developed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.
The site was granted to Bethesda Medical, which submitted a per month rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest quote cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).
SLA cited Bethesda’s solid concentrate on area structure and connecting people with businesses as what gave its concept the succeeding edge. The first floor will include 10 F&B offerings, while the 2nd level will house a gym by Limitless, a wellness center in partnership with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working area. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell gets on the 3rd floor.
A public tender to lease the real estate, now taken care of by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was released in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the quality of the proposed concept, and SLA encouraged bidders to think about creative way of living concepts.
